Over 3 decades of experience in land use planning, policy development, growth management,  community planning and infrastructure planning matters with a focus on providing leadership in developing strong, healthy, and complete communities that strive to meet the needs of all community members.

LANDSMITH Principal, Adrian J. Smith, RPP, is a former Chief Planner and Director of Planning, retired from over 30 years providing professional planning services for municipalities across the Greater Toronto Area and the not-for-profit sector. He has extensive experience providing planning services in some of the fastest growing communities in Canada and spent time working with small communities across the Country. 

Adrian is now welcoming opportunities to partner with teams to support a variety of land use planning and development activities such as complex land use issues, policy development, official plans and secondary plans, growth management, development approvals, infrastructure planning, and infrastructure financing. Adrian is also available to support organizational and business process change management initiatives responsive to a dynamic legislative environment, community priorities and the needs of diverse participants.
